I found this incredible lotus in a ditch on the side of the highway between Rockport and Corpus Christi. For about a week, I zoomed past a ditch filled to the brim with incredible flower buds thinking to myself, “If only these plants were at a park instead of a highway ditch...” until one day I could not stand it anymore; I pulled over, hopped out of my car, snapped photos for about 2 minutes, and went on my way.
