I grew up just a few miles down the street from where I took this photo overlooking the Laguna Madre. When I was a small kid, my dad refurbished a small sailboat very much like this one, and even though we no longer have our little boat, this scene took me right back to learning to steer with a tiller and our sailing adventures to Bird Island Basin.
