True fans of The Bend may recognize this image from the May 2020 cover! This photo was taken moments before the sun dipped fully beneath the horizon on an incredibly calm evening. I had just finished a family photo session when I made the decision to visit a local fishing spot to watch the sunset instead of going home. Since this was a spur of the moment photo, I didn’t have my tripod with me, so I asked the guy fishing a little further down the beach if I could balance my camera on his ice chest! He probably thought that I was weird, but it worked out beautifully.
